BELLIO WFAQ
1. Are Duo Plus scarves made from real cashmere?
Yes. Most Duo Plus scarves are woven from 100% Inner Mongolian cashmere, known for its long staple fibers, natural loft, and exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio. If a scarf includes wool or any other fiber blend, the product details list the exact fiber %. Duo Plus uses no synthetic fillers, and we prioritize natural or low impact colorways to preserve the fiber softness.
2. Why are real cashmere scarves more expensive than regular wool scarves?
Cashmere is rare because the fine undercoat it comes from represents only a small portion of each goat’s annual growth. The fiber must be combed, graded, and de-haired by hand or in micro-batches, which limits supply. Duo Plus uses long staple, high-grade cashmere from Inner Mongolia, which produces a smoother surface, higher durability, and better insulation. You’re paying for fiber purity, softness, and a woven finish that lasts for years with proper care.
3. How warm is a cashmere scarf compared to wool?
Cashmere is typically 3 times warmer than most standard wool at the same weight.
Duo Plus scarves feel featherlight but insulate extremely well because the fibers trap more air. They’re ideal for winter layering, chilly offices, and travel days where you need warmth without bulk.
4. What size are Duo Plus scarves and how do they drape?
Most Duo Plus scarves measure 12 to 14 inches (30 to 35 cm) in width and 70 to 78 inches (180 to 200 cm) in length. This creates a clean, flowing drape that can be worn loose, wrapped once, or tucked into outerwear. The weave tension and long fiber cashmere prevent stretching while still allowing a soft, fluid movement.
5. Do Duo Plus scarves pill, and how should I care for them?
High-grade long fiber cashmere pills far less than short fiber or blended cashmere. Light pilling in friction areas (collarbone, chest) is normal and easily removed with a gentle cashmere comb.
For care:
• Hand wash cold or dry clean
• Lay flat to dry
• Do not wring or twist
• Store with cedar to discourage moth activity
Proper care keeps the scarf soft, smooth, and long lasting.
